Gifts at Work: Academic Programs
First-Year Experience
The FYE is a comprehensive program designed to integrate incoming freshmen academically and socially into the Loyola learning environment. All freshmen participate in a common reading program with a book based on issues centered on social justice, which is followed by small group discussions, a “Meet the Author” lecture, and other activities, such as plays based on the book. The book’s theme has become the centerpiece of numerous other projects and events on campus.
