Scholarships

It's about the students

Scholarships help Loyola University New Orleans attract and retain the best qualified and most deserving students. In fact, scholarships can be the determining factor in a student’s decision to enroll at Loyola.

Nearly 84 percent of Loyola students receive some sort of financial aid. In addition to making Loyola accessible to all without regard to financial status, a scholarship can reward hard work and excellence in the classroom, on the stage, or in the athletic arena.

Creating a scholarship

  • $25,000 is the minimum gift required to establish a named endowed scholarship fund.
  • Private contributions of $60,000 or more toward scholarships for first-generation students are eligible for a $40,000 match by the Louisiana Board of Regents.
