Inspire Excellence

Supporting Academic Achievement

Each year, Loyola students continue to excel and receive top honors nationally. During the 2005 academic year, Loyola student advertising and marketing teams placed third and second in the nation respectively, and the public relations team placed first in the country.  In recent years, our students have been awarded Rhodes, British Marshall, Fulbright, Mitchell, Goldwater, and Boren National Security Education Program scholarships, as well as a Mellon Fellowship.

Student achievements such as these are a result of bright students, dedicated teachers, and supportive friends and alumni of the university. Each year, your gift to Loyola allows us to give financial aid to deserving students, recruit and retain outstanding faculty, and provide cutting-edge technologies and facilities.

In 2004, 85 percent of Loyola students received some form of financial aid or scholarship. Conrad DeBaillon is just one student who has benefited from scholarship aid.

“Being a Louisiana resident, I wanted to attend an in-state university, but one that gave me the opportunity to make my own decisions and create my own college experience.  I am glad that gifts to the university have made it possible for me to do just that.”
