Dr. Walter Harris, Jr. Endowed Music Scholarship
The Dr. Walter Harris, Jr., Endowed Music Scholarship was established in 2018 by Dr. Henrietta Augustus Harris in honor of her husband, Dr. Walter Harris, Jr., retired distinguished Professor of Music and former Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs at Loyola University. The scholarship was created especially for talented minority students with financial need enrolled in Loyola’s School of Music. As Dr. Henrietta Harris stated, “I want to honor Walter for his years of dedication to Loyola students. This scholarship will provide opportunities for students for years to come. We both feel he has had a stellar professional and administrative career at Loyola.” Walter truly enjoyed his years of service to Loyola University.
