Conrad DeBaillon
Loyola Student, B '07
A two-time recipient of the Loyola Alumni Legacy Scholarship, Conrad excels academically. He is double majoring in International Business and Finance and minoring in French. Conrad chose Loyola for its nationally-ranked College of Business, which emphasizes a combination of valuable in-class lessons and real world experiences. He explains, “Through initiatives like CBA’s Loyola Corps, students are able to take what they learn from classes and apply it to real world situations, creating a more rewarding form of community service. Your knowledge is strengthened, and you help someone at the same time.”
Conrad feels he has benefited from Loyola’s size and its commitment to educating the whole person. He states, “The professors in the CBA will go out of their way to help a student. The low student-instructor ratio helps me create a better relationship with my professors.” He also notes that Loyola’s cutting-edge technology enhances his studies. “The state-of-the-art technology available to students is extremely beneficial, making presentations and lectures much more meaningful. Loyola’s College of Business was the first in the university to install a wireless internet system, and the school is constantly improving upon itself in order become even more efficient than it already is.”
Conrad appreciates the education that gifts to the Annual Fund have made possible. “Being a Louisiana resident, I wanted to attend an in-state university, but one that gave me the opportunity to make my own decisions and create my own college experience. I am glad that gifts to the university have made it possible for me to do just that.”
