Loyola Connect is a competition among 13 Loyola student organzations for a chance to win $5,000 to fund their dream proposals. The project with the most votes from Oct. 21 to Nov. 2 wins.

Vote online for your favorite project by making a gift of any size through the Connect Fund donation page. Alumni donation votes count for five, while all other donation votes count for one.  You can only vote one time per organization. Voting ends at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 2. Loyola will announce the winning student project Nov. 2 at Wolves on the Prowl, the university’s national day of service.

Active Minds would host a Stress Free Day approaching finals featuring fun activities that alleviate stress and promote good attitudes, as well as disseminate information about how to de-stress, deal with stressful situations and think positively.

Loyola Speech and Debate

The Loyola Speech and Debate Team's project is to fund travel and entry fees for tournaments allowing the team to utilize critical thinking skills in a competitive format. The team is brand new on campus, and these funds will make a name for Loyola in the national speech and debate arena and also allow the team to bring these skills back to campus through community debates.

Loyola University Community Action Program’s efforts to actively involve students in advocacy and service projects including sharing meals with the homeless, tutoring, spending time with the elderly, rebuilding the Gulf Coast and putting on events on a variety of social justice issues.

The Maroon

The Maroon student newspaper’s the Future of Journalism Initiative to send student journalists to professional development seminars focusing on newspaper and advertising careers.

Nu Mu Citywide Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta’s D.R.E.A.M.girlS. Summit that will bring 100 middle and high-school girls interested in pursuing studies in the STEM to campus this spring for a one-day empowerment conference.
